Position: Secretary - part time(Tuesday - Friday, 16-20 hours/week)

The position provides administrative and clerical support to the Pastor, Congregational Council, and church ministries while fostering a welcoming, confidential, and professional environment.

Qualifications:

● Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite

● Familiarity with standard office equipment.

● Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

● Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

● Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.

● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and remain flexible with interruptions.

● Consistent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities:

● Answer and direct telephone calls.

● Greet and assist visitors.

● Communicate and prepare materials for worship, newsletters, meetings, annual reports, weddings, funerals and special events.

● Maintain the church calendar, including scheduling facility use.

● Maintain church databases, mailing lists, and email lists.

● Order and maintain office supplies, organize office space and update procedures.

● Notify leaders of building issues or maintenance needs.

● Coordinate communications with Marketing Committee.

● Additional duties as assigned.
